Apoyando a la juventud guanacasteca

Waves Costa Rica y CEPIA unieron fuerzas para crear un proyecto de ayuda a niños de escuelas públicas en el sector de Santa Cruz, Guanacaste; clases de surf gratuitas los segundos sábados de cada mes, promoviendo así el deporte, la interacción social, el bienestar mental  y por supuesto, una sana diversión para estos jóvenes; futuros hombres y mujeres de Costa Rica.

Guanacaste, Costa Rica – Este próximo 12 de marzo se dará inicio a uno de los proyectos más afanosos que se han planteado tanto Waves Costa Rica Surf & Adventures, como la organización sin fines de lucro CEPIA (Cultura, Educación y Psicología de la Infancia y Adolescencia), buscando mejorar el estilo de vida de miles de niños y jóvenes que viven al margen del fuerte riesgo social existente en sus zonas de residencia.

La mentalidad de CEPIA se basa en lograr mantener a los jóvenes estudiantes alejados de los miles de vicios y peligros que lamentablemente los rodean, tanto en sus comunidades como en las adyacentes. En esta instancia Waves Costa Rica apareció con una solución; si los chicos surfean, se alejan de los problemas, matemática que funciona casi siempre, para casi todos.
Si hay una empresa que siempre se ha preocupado por devolverle algo a la sociedad y a la naturaleza a la hora de hacer su trabajo, esa es Waves Costa Rica y esta vez no será la excepción.

La escuela de Villarreal será la primer institución en verse beneficiada de dicho proyecto al incluir a sus alumnos en las clases de surf que se llevaran a cabo el próximo sábado 12 de Marzo en playa Tamarindo, frente al hotel Best Western Tamarindo Vista Villas, base de operaciones de Waves Costa Rica, Quiksilver & Roxy Surf Camp.

“Nos comprometemos, no solo a dar lecciones de surf a todos los niños que podamos, si no que también nos comprometemos a observar y descubrir talentos ocultos, si se les ve potencial a algunos niños(as), estaremos más que dispuestos a tomarlos bajo nuestra ala”, aseguró Andrea Díaz manager general de Waves Costa Rica, Quiksilver & Roxy Surf Camp.

“Entrenarlos dos veces a la semana en técnica, acondicionamiento físico y tácticas de competencia, para tratar de ayudarlos no solo a alejarse del riesgo social, si no también ayudarlos a escalar hacia la siguiente etapa de este deporte, el profesionalismo”, concluyó Andrea.

El tiempo esta corriendo, la fecha del primer evento se aproxima y tanto Andrea como la junta directiva de CEPIA, esperan contar con presencia tanto de voluntarios y más contribuyentes a la causa, como medios de comunicación interesados en difundir este grito de ayuda para el futuro de la provincia de Guanacaste.

Waves Costa Rica and CEPIA Join Together to Support the Youth of Guanacaste

Waves Costa Rica and the non-profit group CEPIA have joined forces to create a project to help public school children in the area of Santa Cruz, Guanacaste, with free surfing lessons every second Saturday of each month. The goal is promoting the sport, social interaction, mental wellbeing and of course, good clean fun for the young, future men and women in Costa Rica.

This March 12 will begin one of the most exciting events create by both Waves Costa Rica Surf Adventures, as the nonprofit organization CEPIA (Culture, Education and Psychology of Children and Adolescents), seeking to improve the lifestyle of thousands of children and young people living outside the existing strong social risks in their areas of residence.

CEPIA mentality is based on achieving to keep young students away from the thousands of vices and dangers that surround them. Unfortunately, it is a part of their communities. For this reason Waves Costa Rica came up with a solution, if the kids surf, away from the problems, it's a good solution for almost everyone.

As a company has always been concerned about giving back to society and nature at the time to do their job, that's what Waves Costa Rica is all about.

Villarreal's school will be the first institution to benefit from this project, and will include student surf classes to be held on Saturday March 12 in Playa Tamarindo, in front of the hotel Best Western Tamarindo Vista Villas, base camp for Waves Costa Rica operations, Quiksilver & Roxy Surf Camp.

"We are committed not only to give surf lessons to as many children as we can, but will also commit ourselves to observe and discover hidden talents. If we see potential in some kids, we will be more than willing to take them under our wing, " said Andrea Díaz general manager of Waves Costa Rica, Quiksilver & Roxy Surf Camp.

"We can help them train twice a week in technique, fitness and competitive tactics to try to help them not only away from the social risk, but also help them climb to the next stage of the game, professionalism," he said Andrea.

Time is running out, and the first event date is approaching and both Andrea and the board of CEPIA, hope to have both volunteers and more contributors to the cause, and media interested in publicizing this outreach that helps the future generations of the province of Guanacaste.
