Our recent visitors - The Encompass Foundation

We are back in Costa Rica! It has been four years since we were here before and the only thing that seems to have changed is the price of food rising, just like everywhere else. The people here are the same, beautiful and some of the friendliest people on earth. They will welcome you into their homes as if you were family. Their lives are very relational oriented. So many live in poverty working two jobs or six days a week to keep their families going. But without all the attachments to ‘things’ their prized possessions are each other. They live a simple but hard working live. Costa Rica is a great place to come to volunteer. There is so much to do from construction, to teaching, to playing with the children. Jay at Buena Vista Villas can help you with anything necessary to come and help these people. He is very involved in the local community and knows the needs here well. You can come as a family or as a group. In your volunteer down time you can swim, surf, boogie board, hike, and tons of others stuff!

Haiti ~ Our wonderful friends in Haiti want to send their heartfelt gratitude to those who are helping to provide them with food and basic supplies. The need there is so great and we are very much in need of others who can help financially to get these people to work so they can support themselves. Please contact me, Kathleen, if you have any questions or would like to help.

MUSICIANS WANTED! There has been a request for musicians to come and teach guitar, piano, and drums. They have the instruments but not the instructions on how to use them! Email Jay and he can give you all the information you need!
