Catalogado el mejor torneo de la temporada, el Surf For Youth Guanacaste Surf Series conjugó buenas olas, Buenos surfers y excelente público asistente que disfrutó de las actividades artísticas y recreativas que conformaron este gran evento

Gilberth Brown, Isaac Vega, Diego Naranjo y Carlos Muñoz disputaron una final magnífica, que solo con un surfing progresivo y estratégico podia superar. Olas por encima de la cabeza, con fuertes y rápidos tubos comenzaron a salir continuamente para sacar lo mejor de estos grandes atletas.

Gilbert, quién logró la segunda posición y una bolsa de 250 dólares, utilizó su conocida táctica de escogencia de olas, esperando lo necesario para que salga la indicada y destrozarla hasta la orilla.

Isaac Vega, local de la zona, demostró de que está hecho peliándose las olas con ansias de ganar este campeonato, llevandose 150 dólares de premio y el tercer lugar en el Surf For Youth.

Naranjo lo desfavoreció la suerte al no colocársele las olas posicionándose en el cuarto lugar con un billete de 100 dólares de premiación

Dando un espectáculo ovacionado por los más de 250 asistentes que llegaron al lugar, Carlos Muñoz le dio batalla a estos tres gigantes del surfing, avanzando gracias a puntuaciones perfectas y olas tubeadas que completaba con limpios aéreos, llevándose a Esterillos 500 dólares en efectivo.

Por su parte las chicas dieron increibles muestras de coraje con un surfing muy sólido. Désde el primer heat de mujeres las olas bombearon fuertemente aumentando la complejidad de sus heats.

Danielle Ciminero avanzó a la final con sus maniobras bien posicionadas y fluidas hasta coronarse campeona del Surf For Youth, llevandose a casa una tabla de surf nueva gracias a Banzaii. Lisbeth Vindas, quién disfrutó del evento en familia, logró la segunda posición en la categoría mujeres, rebasando a Evie Johnstone y Tal Saporta.

Los heats más aclamado fueron los groms, quienes dieron todo de si al enfrentar las grandes olas que regaló Guanacaste.

En Groms chicas Liliana Guinaldo, local de Playa Negra logró la primera posición, mientras Lia Hermosa Diaz, hija de Andrea Diaz, directora de Waves Costa Rica, se posicionó en el segundo lugar. Sorya Folger fue la tercera groms en esta gran final de infarto. En cuanto a los Groms chicos Sean Foster ganó la serie seguido de Tiago Carrique, Jame Caartel y Sage Guinaldo. Estos chicos demostraron su conocimiento de las olas, su valentía y profesionalismo.

Finalmente los master fueron otros que msotraron que la experiencia es poderosa, el nivel en esta categoría fue increible con surfeadores y maniobras sólidas, fluidas y potentes. Marcel Guinaldo se llevó el primer lugar y los audífonos Skullcandy ansiados por todos los competidores. Tequila Schieber, campeón mundial quedó de segundo, Forest Folger, quién realizó un impecable trabajo de jueceo fue el tercero y Jeff Allen, propietario de Tiki-Hut se posicionó de cuarto.

El premio más significativo del Surf For Youth fue el de la obra de arte con material reciclado. Todos los chicos asistentes al evento estuvieron gran parte del día construyendo esculturas con material reciclable. La primera posición fue para Sorya Folger, mientras Sage Guinaldo logró la segunda mejor .

Muchos asistentes y competidores donaron tablas de surf, ropa y accesorios para los chicos de CEPIA (Cultura, Educación y Psicología de la Infancia y la Adolescencia), asociación sin fines de lucro que promueve la educación, la cultura, la salud y la participación de menores de edad y sus familias de escasos recursos en Guanacaste, Costa Rica.

Waves Costa Rica y CEPIA están creando un programa para que estos chicos utilicen el surf como disciplina deportiva y los aleje de los malos hábitos, siendo el surf un factor importante en el correcto desarrollo de la juventud costera.

Carlos Muñoz takes the Surf For Youth in an epic final

Cataloged the best tournament of the season, the Surf Surf Series For Youth Guanacaste brought together good waves, surfers and an excellent audience that enjoyed the artistic and recreational activities that made this great event.

Gilberth Brown, Isaac Vega, Diego Naranjo and Carlos Munoz orchestrated a grand final, that only the surfer with strategic and progressive surfing could win. Waves were overhead, strong and fast tubes began to go continually to let these great athletes perform at their best.

Gilbert, who placed second and a bagged $ 250, used his familiar tactic of finding choice waves, hoping to ensure that he could demolish the lip all the way to the sand.

Isaac Vega, local surfer, showed his eagerness to win this championship and fought to catch some great rides, taking home a $150 award and third place at the Surf For Youth.

Many attendees and competitors donated surfboards, clothing and accessories for kids of CEPIA (Culture, Education and Psychology for Children and Adolescents), non-profit association that promotes education, culture, health and participation children and families in need in Guanacaste, Costa Rica.

Waves CEPIA Costa Rica and are creating a program for these kids use surfing as a sport and to away from bad habits, surfing being a major factor in the community development of youth that live near the coast.
