Un Día muy Especial

Vamos a Surfear con los atletas de las olimpiadas especiales
segunda edición – Diciembre 2008

Waves Costa Rica en conjunto con Roxy/Quiksilver, y gracias al apoyo de Cesar Vargas Producciones, restaurante EL Hicaco, hotel Terraza del Pacifico, Pachis Pan, Kamlung, llevaron a cabo el evento Un Día Muy Especial, donde enseñaron a surfear a los nadadores pertenecientes a la selección de Costa Rica de las Olimpiadas Especiales.

Atletas nuevos y caras conocidas llegaron a Jaco a recibir clases de surf por parte de los expertos: Jairo Pérez, Andrea Diaz, Jason Torres, Lupe Galluccio fueron solo uno de los surfeadores que asistieron a este encuentro de atletas.

La agenda comenzó el jueves con la cena de bienvenida por parte del hotel Terraza, donde los chicos compartieron con los surfeadores quienes les autografiaron revistas Surfos, cenaron juntos y posaron ante el lente de Agustín Muñoz.

Los doce atletas con sus representantes se alojaron en Bahía Encantada donde comieron un fresco desayuno cortesía de Pachis Pan. En la playa las banderas y toldos de Roxy/Quiksilver esperaban a los homenajeados quienes lograron traer a Costa Rica gran cantidad de medallas del pasado centroamericano.

Música y animación de Jaco Productions a cargo de Cesar Vargas hizo mover al ritmo del reggaeton a todos los presentes, en especial a los atletas especiales quienes no desaprovechan ni una oportunidad para bailar sin cesar.

Después del divertido calentamiento todos fueron al agua a tomar algunas olas. Mientras unos bailaban otros surfeaban. Randall Ortega se encargo de las fotografías de este Día Especial, donde descubrimos el talento como modelos de alguno de los deportistas.

Para finalizar este gran dia atletas y voluntarios fueron al restaurante El Hicaco, donde almorzaron en este exclusivo lugar, sintiendose como verdaderas estrellas.

Let's Go Surfing with the athletes of the Special Olympics
edition - December 2008

Waves Costa Rica in conjunction with Roxy / Quiksilver, and with the support of Cesar Vargas Productions, Hicacos Restaurant, Hotel Terraza del Pacifico, Pachis Pan, Kamlung, conducted the event on a very special day, where they taught swimmers belonging to the selection of Costa Rica for the Special Olympics how to surf.

New and familiar faces athletes arrived in Jaco to receive surf lessons from the experts: Jairo Perez, Andrea Diaz, Jason Torres, Lupe Galluccio were some of the surfers who attended this gathering of athletes.

The schedule began on Thursday with a welcome dinner by the Hotel Terraza, where the boys shared with surfers who surf autographed magazines, dined together and posed before the lens of Augustine Munoz.

The twelve athletes with their representatives stayed at Bahia Encantada, where they ate breakfast courtesy of a fresh Pachis Pan. On the beach, flags and awnings of Roxy / Quiksilver expected to honorees who have made Costa Rica a lot of medals from the past in Central America.

Music and animation by Jaco Productions Cesar Vargas did move to the rhythm of the song to all those present, especially those special athletes who did not miss a chance to dance unabated.

After the fun they were all warmed up to make some waves. Some danced while others surfed. Randall Ortega was charged with the photographs of this special day, where we discovered talent as models of some of the athletes.

To end this great day athletes and volunteers went to Hicacos Restaurant, where they enjoyed lunch in this unique place, feeling like real stars.
