Costa Rica Surf Report and Forecast for March 2014

By: Greg Gordon – www.crsurf.com

FORECAST

Caribbean Coast – The ENE swells will be less frequent but when they come will stick pack a punch, pushing in surf that reaches double overhead. In between expect mellow waist to chest high waves for the beachbreaks and head high surf on the reefs.

Pacific Coast – March starts the South swell season and the first round should arrive by the 3rd. Nothing big is coming, but it is joined by a WNW swell and that should push in plenty of overhead surf through the 8th. Then expect a short drought, but following should be consistent chest to head high waves from background South swells and a larger one due by the end of the month.

New Moon – March 1st Full Moon – March 16th
