Officially, the first international tournament in the country entered the water. The best Sub 16 in the world arrived in Costa Rica this week and were scored today in the first two rounds of the expected world final of the Rip Curl GromSearch in Playa Hermosa de Jaco.

Playa Hermosa, better known as the National Surfing Stadium, today the wave in front of the facilities of the Backyard hotel, bankrupt ideal to run both the “Trilas”, as the first two keys of the main event.

Thus, the results of the open trials for the best eight of the kölbi National Circuit were the following:

At the last minute, the international management of the event delivered four more places (wildcard), for a total of 7 (3 Boys and 2 Girls) to the best of # CNSkölbi who in turn were measured against the qualifiers from Australia, United States United, Brazil, Portugal, Indonesia, France, Spain, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Canada and England, today.

In addition, it should be noted that of the rounds of the main event that were played today, there were no disqualifications.

The key 1 (seeding round) made all the competitors take a place in the next and, the key 2, caused the winners to jump two keys until the round prior to the quarterfinals.

This competition format is normally used in the highest category of the WSL, the WCT, where the Costa Rican Brisa Hennessy competes.

That is, starting tomorrow, all heats will be of only two competitors, with the following two keys remaining, as follows:

De manera oficial, entró al agua el primer torneo internacional en el país. Los mejores Sub 16 del mundo que arribaron a Costa Rica esta misma semana, se midieron hoy en las dos primeras rondas de la esperada final mundial del Rip Curl GromSearch en Playa Hermosa de Jaco.

Mejor conocido como el Estadio Nacional del Surf, hoy la ola frente a las instalaciones del hotel Backyard, quebró ideal para que se corrieran tanto los “Trilas”, como las dos primeras llaves del evento principal.

Así, los resultados de los trials abiertos para los mejores ocho del Circuito Nacional kölbi, fueron los siguientes:

1º Sam Reidy (Dominical) Clasifica
2º Aaron Ramirez (Jaco) Clasifica
3º Tao Rodriguez (Panamá) Clasifica
4º Tosh Talbot (Matapalo)

Girls
1º Rubiana Brownell (Avellanas) Clasifica
2º Valeria Ojeda (Jaco) Clasifica
3º Indiana Ferri (Puerto Viejo) Clasifica
4º Paulina Summers (Puerto Viejo)

De última hora, la dirección internacional del evento hizo entrega de cuatro plazas más (wildcard), para un total de 7 (3 Boys y 2 Girls) a los mejores del #CNSkölbi quienes a su vez se midieron con los clasificados de Australia, Estados Unidos, Brasil, Portugal Indonesia, Francia, España, Nueva Zelanda, Puerto Rico, Canadá e Inglaterra, hoy.

Además, cabe recalcar que de las rondas del evento principal que se jugaron hoy, no hubo descalificados.

La llave 1 (seeding round) hizo que todos los competidores tomaran un lugar en la próxima y, la llave 2, hizo que los ganadores brincaran dos llaves hasta la ronda previa a los cuartos de final.

Este formato de competencia es normalmente utilizado en la máxima categoría del WSL, el WCT, donde corre la costarricense Brisa Hennessy.

Es decir, a partir de mañana, todos los heats serán de solo dos competidores, quedando las dos siguientes llaves, de la siguiente manera:

Mañana el evento vuelve nuevamente a las 7:00 am y hasta el mediodía. Además, se confirma que esta final del GromSearch de Playa Hermosa, cerrará este mismo sábado pasado el mediodía con el concierto que se llevará a cabo en Backyard.
