By posting up-to-date news and surf reports in English and Spanish, links to live cams and daily cams, hundreds of photos, hotel lists and reviews, and connections to the beach communities throughout Costa Rica on both coasts. This gives visitors a complete view of what to expect for surf when they are ready to travel.
What we can do for you
Your home page is your store’s ‘front window’. Our goal is to get more visitors to see it. We also promote your holiday events and specials in our weekly surf report and in the news section of the home page.

Experience
The surf report was created in June of 1998 to find the best waves through all types of swells and weather conditions. Now over 500 reports have covered the Costa Rica scene. The website is featured in the Lonely Planet Travel Guide, Frommers, Fodors, and numerous surf travel guides around the world.
Starting in 1996 we have traveled and surfed in every corner of Costa Rica, multiple times during different seasons. We visit every hotel and surf camp that is listed on the website. Currently monthly surf travel articles are written for the Beachside Resident, a Florida periodical with a 12000 copy distribution and Dominical Days who prints 4000 copies. Previous hotel reviews and surf adventures have been published in the Tico Times, The Guide Magazine, and Eastern Surf Magazine.

Ad sizes and costs
Text links to your website: $10 per month or $100 per year
This includes two text links to your website, a link to your email, and listing your location, phone, and fax numbers.
Single Page Ad: $15 per month or $150 per year
One banner ad on any page except the home page. This banner would rotate within the left and right columns to guarantee equal time at the top for all advertisers. It would be placed on the page appropriate for the business to attract clients.
Multipage Ad: $30 per month or $300 per year
A minimum of three permanent banner ads on the site with one on the home page. The other two would be placed on the appropriate pages and rotated along the left and right columns to ensure equal visibility. The banner will also be rotated at random to appear on other pages of the website, ensuring more impressions and more clicks.
Advertisers also get a text link and email link on three pages of the site, including the surf report page. This information will be included in the report emailed each week.
Top of the Page Ad: $40 to $200 per month, 10% discount for annual agreement
Two top corner spots on each page are presented to spotlight a featured advertiser. The banners link directly to the preferred page of your website. You also get the benefits of the Multipage Ad for a 50% discount off the rate.
*All ads will be tracked so you can follow the number of people who see it and who click on it. Email with statistics sent every 30 days.
* Banners may be .jpg or .gif, up to 30K in size. Animated GIF files must rotate slower than one frame per 3.5 seconds. All banners subject to review.
* Once you are an advertiser on CRSURF.com, your rates NEVER GO UP. That means in five years if rates increase for new clients, yours does not increase for the same amount of coverage. (Some of our advertisers are benefitting from our rates in 2004!)
