Caribbean Coast – With hurricane season right around the corner, there may be a chance for a tropical storm to kick up waves before the end of the month. Meanwhile the surf stays under waist high, leaving clear conditions for stand up paddleboarding, snorkeling, and diving.
Pacific Coast – This month starts with Southwest swell arriving on the 4th and maxing at almost double overhead by the 7th. Each week another South or Southwest pulse will keep the surf over head high, with many days 1-2 feet overhead. There is also a lot of tropical activity on the northwest Pacific coast so up north may have more onshore flow. Bigger surf usually arrives with the full moon, too.
