AREA REPORTS
Northern Nicoya Peninsula
Louis at Hotel Las Tortugas - 11/24 - We are beginning to have off-shore days now as the dry season sets in. Currently the swell has been small (shoulder high) but lots of fun for the early morning sessions. There are plenty of surfers showing up for the weekends especially since it is too small for most of the other breaks. The tides are moving into the afternoon this week end and the off-shores could cooperate if the trades can finally get going.
Alejandro at Seafari Costa Rica - 11/23 - Happy Thanksgiving! Weather has not been like this since 22-25 years ago, now is a transition to the dry season and the NW or NWN swells, first of the season brought low sea temperatures and few more sunny days now. Waves in Tamarindo are 1-2ft on the best sets within mid tides along the morning, light breeze from north and a fairly busy line up with surf schools and locals as well. Langosta sand bar, down south, has been a fun shore break for dawn patrol low tide sessions in short boards, not so crowded (at 5am) then the river mouth in front of the resort, mid tides can give some good 2ft of fun...

Quepos/Manuel Antonio
Luis at Manuel Antonio Surf School - 11/25 - The waves in Manuel Antonio have been small these days. Wave height is around 1 to 3 feet but the conditions got nicer with glassy waters and lower tides perfect for beginners and intermediate surfers. The best spot to surf this weekend in Manuel Antonio is Playitas beach.
We have created this campaign to provide relief to the families of the Quepos community that were highly affected this year due to unemployment during this pandemic.
We want to fill those families with smiles by giving their little ones a gift and a food basket for Christmas night so they can spend a night of peace and hope in their hearts. Let's collaborate on this beautiful cause !! Either with a toy or food to put in the basket. What comes from the heart is more than welcome. Collection of gifts on December 13 at the beach station of MASS in Playa Manuel Antonio from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. We also have other ways to donate you can call +506-2777-4842 or Whatsapp +506-6297-6489 for more information.
Steve at Jazzys River House - 11/25 - Stormy weather continues resulting in a wide variety of surf conditions. Wind has been a chief factor; trashing otherwise nice surf while windows of calm have given us excellent form with peaks and tubes, long rides and relatively easy paddle-outs. Severely and rapidly changing sandbars have added to the suspense.
Caribbean
Surf Forecast.com - 11/25 - Waves are waist to chest high from a 4 foot swell at 8 seconds from the ENE. This swell ebbs a foot on Saturday and Sunday, but then picks back up to start next week. Winds improve later in the week.
