Overview:
Caribbean - A solid ENE swell (7 feet at 10 seconds) maxes on Tuesday afternoon with surf 1-2 feet overhead. Then it slowly drops back down to chest high for the weekend and stays small through next week. In general, this time of year gets less consistent.
Pacific - All week shows background SSW (1.4 ft at 11 seconds) and WNW swell (1 foot at 15 seconds) so that keeps waves around from waist to head high. Then a new SSW arrives Saturday (3 feet at 15 seconds) which will push in some 1-2 feet overhead sets by Sunday through Wednesday before that drops back to head high. However, the swell will stick around for another week.

Louis at Hotel Las Tortugas - 3/5 - The surfing has returned to Playa Grande with great conditions and plenty of international surfers. The conditions this week have been excellent with twin, head high plus, sessions in the morning and evening. The water has been nippy when the off shores have been blowing hard but a vest should be enough rubber for most people. This weekend and next week have the potential for an epic session or two. There are a variety of uncrowded peaks for the adventurer.
Alejandro at Seafari Costa Rica - 3/4 - There's a handful of people in Tamarindo although plenty more come by sunset time. Local and city tourists are regular during the weekend and adding up the foreigners in small numbers.

Esterillos Oeste Surf Report - 3/5 - The waves this morn were pretty fun. It bumped up a bit and was about 2-3 with a few 4 ft sets basically chest high with some solid head high sets. Looking like this swell should peak in the morning with waves about the same size hoping for more consistent sets. Then backing off into the first part of the week until another fun size swell coming in the second half of next week. With incoming tide all morning this weekend should deliver some fun size waves with good conditions.

Steve at Jazzys River House - 3/5 - Epic blue sky morning! Mild offshore holding up solid eight foot surf. Clean, consistent, uncrowded; about as good as Dominical gets. Playa Hermosa South and Dominicalito slightly smaller but same good qualities and Punta Dominical may be working nicely as well.
