Overview
Caribbean - Dropping East swell to start the week, waves knee to waist high early and then it's flat by Thursday. Nothing showing long range.
Pacific - Monday has a 4 foot swell at 14 second from the SSW (200 degrees), fading slowly for the next couple of days. Then a SW swell (220 degrees) slowly fills in to 3 feet at 15 seconds by Thursday. That lasts till Saturday and then another SW arrives next Monday so plenty of chest to overhead surf throughout the week.

10/20 - The sun is shining and the wind is showing signs of consistent off-shores clearing the surf up.  The surfing tides are in the afternoon this week so the surf season will probably officially kick into gear the following week end with the morning tides.

Smaller surf has a better chance of being good due to the sloppy ocean conditions from the rainy conditions to the south. There should be some decent sessions this week with the unpredictable afternoon off-shores.

Tamarindo

Seafari Costa Rica

10/20 - Tamarindo has been under the influence of the low presure system with plenty of rain and stormy winds, breaking the surface, making a choppy 1-2ft waves at the sand bars, best bet at Old men spot, "cleaner" rides for long boards. Shout out to keep off the river mouth, when the water is murky and had rain a lot, the currents drift juvenile crocs to that line up.

Langosta works good  within the incoming tides, midmorning wind switch from south, then call it a day.

10/21 - Early sunny skies and surf head high to overhead. Mostly closeouts due to recent buildups of sandbars from the Rio Baru. The wind has been switching around 9:30.

Early morning is low tide which has some barrels with exits when it's small for mid week. Then by Sunday high tide early morning sessions will be best.

10/22 - It was slightly onshore early this morning, then turned onshore by 9 a.m. We checked farther up the Golf Dulce and found clean but short lines. Then tried for a afternoon session at the point but the winds were on it with a fast dropping tide.

The SSW missed some of the points but hit others with less crowds. Getting up early if it's not raining seems to be best call, as well as around higher tides.
