Overview
Caribbean - A 9.8 foot ENE swell (70 degrees) with a 8.6 second period maxes Tuesday morning with 1-2 feet overhead surf and drops a foot by Wednesday. By Thursday it's gone, leaving waist to chest high waves for the weekend with another round of ENE arriving next Monday.
Pacific - Minimal SSW swell - 2 feet at 12 seconds - keeps waves in the waist to chest high range all week, with a bump from a new SSW swell (2.2 ft. at 15 seconds) arriving Saturday. This swell grows to 2.5 ft. but it won't get bigger than overhead until the 28th when a 2.8 ft at 18 second SW swell starts filling in and will push in 1-2 foot overhead waves through the 30th.

AREA REPORTS
Northern Nicoya Peninsula
Louis at Hotel Las Tortugas - 11/18 - The head high morning surf this week has been excellent with brisk off-shores and beautiful weather. The tide has gotten too low now for the double morning and afternoon sessions we enjoyed last week, but the great morning conditions should last well into the week. There were lots of surfers here for the weekend since Playa Grande was breaking nicely with the small swell.
Alejandro at Seafari Costa Rica - 11/18 - Fun waves all over the North Coast, the 5th north winds did arrive in time to hold some of the last SW swells of the season, clean 1-2ft rides in Tamarindo, super friendly for beginers and long boarders, farily crowded line up as it is usual now in the sand bars of Tamarindo Bay, plenty waves for all!
Try Out Surfing by Seafari Costa Rica, entry level surf lesson, in one of the safest and most beautiful places for beginners to learn, Tamarindo beach.

Manuel Antonio / Dominical
Luis at Manuel Antonio Surf School - 11/11 - Today the waves were very small in the morning and in the afternoon around 2, we started to get some good 2ft waves. Thanksgiving Promo - Running from November 17 - November 30. Both 4 night and 7 night all-inclusive surf camp packages are 20% off.
Steve Fergus at Jazzys River House - 11/19 - Early morning rising tide found small waves 2' - 4' with mostly closed out conditions. Short walls dumping full length with few workable shoulders. A lone surfer paddled out - tried to drop in two or three times, gave up and paddled in. Otherwise nice water conditions - straight lines, strong offshore, consistent sets but...nothing to ride.
Southern Zone
Colin at Una Ola Surf Camp - 11/18 - 2-3’ with poor shape The swell picked up overnight and is showing decent consistency, with some shoulder high sets pushing through. The wind is light and calm. Good surfing conditions! The swell seems too west, causing a lot of closed out sections on the lower tide. Should improve with a touch more tide!
The Caribbean
Solspot - 11/19 - 5-7 feet with a dominant ENE med-period swell. Primary Swell: 9.9ft. 8.6 seconds 73 degrees (ENE). East-Northeast med-period swell on the way out.
