Overview
Caribbean - A 9.8 foot ENE swell (74 degrees) with a 8.4 second period arrives Monday morning with overhead surf and drops slowly through Tuesday. Midweek looks smaller, with waist high waves but by Friday another ENE swell arrives pushing it back to head high for the weekend.
Pacific - A new 2.3 foot SSW swell (198 degrees) with a 16.5 second period builds through Wednesday bringing overhead surf for the last days of the week, before dropping back down to chest to head for the weekend. Another SSW swell pushes in next week keeping it around head high.

AREA REPORTS
Northern Nicoya Peninsula
Louis at Hotel Las Tortugas - 11/25 - The tides are moving into the morning slot this week and the surf conditions look good for a great week as long as the swell doesn’t get too much larger than the head high surf we are enjoying now. The current afternoon sessions have been slightly sloppy, but fun. Because Playa Grande is one of the few surf spots in our area breaking with any power, there are a lot of surfers in the water at certain tides. If you are concerned about the nesting turtles please avoid arriving for surfing here in a boat.
Alejandro at Seafari Costa Rica - 11/24 - Small yet really fun waves in Tamarindo, 1-2ft with early north winds, best breaks within the incoming tides, River mouth and sand bars are the most crowded, also the most consistent breaks.
Nosara
Chico Lopez at SurfingNosara.com - 11/25 - Beautiful morning today at Playa Guiones Nosara. Today some nice waves and a little soft offshore wind. The waves were shoulder to head high, the sunny days continue and the mornings here are beautiful, the tide was really low this morning perfect to go out and enjoy this paradise.
South Nicoya Peninsula

Steve Fergus at Jazzys River House - 11/25 - Excellent dropping tide morning session. 3' - 4' and ultra clean. Straight lines, crisp, consistent walls with plenty of open shoulders, almost glassy, mild offshore, bright sun and blue sky. Small crowds to top it off.
Southern Zone
Colin at Una Ola Surf Camp - 11/25 - 2’-3’ with poor to fair shape The waves were a touch smaller and less consistent this morning, but still really fun! The dropping tide killed it, but things may improve once the tide starts filling in again. Glassy surfing conditions early, light southwest winds at the moment.
The Caribbean
Solspot - 11/26 - 3-5 feet with a dominant ENE short-period swell. Primary Swell: 8.5ft. 7.9 seconds 70 degrees (ENE). East-Northeast short-period swell steady.
