Overview
Caribbean - Quickly dropping ENE swell. Get on it while you can because the waves go from chest to head Thursday down to nearly flat by Sunday. More ENE on the way, but not until next weekend.
Pacific - South swell with a 14 second period arrives this morning and keeps it chest to head high through Friday. Then there's a weaker SW swell 1.5 ft. at 14 seconds that helps add to the wave count, but by Sunday it's mostly waist to chest, and by Tuesday even the chest high waves are few and far between.

AREA REPORTS
Northern Nicoya Peninsula
Louis at Hotel Las Tortugas - 2/25 - The small, head high surf has been good all week with some good afternoon sessions to go along with the early morning sessions. Every once in a while it bumps up a foot or two. The good conditions for morning surf should continue into the weekend. Everybody is here, since most of the other surf spots are not breaking, so come prepared to share.
Alejandro at Seafari Costa Rica - 2/24 - Small conditions for Tamarindo, waves range 1-2ft of warm water, sand bars are working at its best within the high tide, surf schools are busy at the sand bars and river mouth activated within the lower tides; looking forward to the double session week ahead of us! Langosta has been more active the last few days, 2ft solid and random 3ft waves roll by on the different point breaks, works better within mid tides, morning sessions are rewarding due the lack of crowd and light breeze, due the change of moon the winds are shifty in the early afternoons and slow down for sunset sessions.
Nosara
Chico at SurfingNosara.com - 2/26 - Another beautiful morning, the waves are good and little, they run waist high to chest high, with the high tide, and occasionally the good sets coming and little offshore wind.
Manuel Antonio / Dominical
Greg at Jazzys River House - 2/27 - Waves have been waist to chest high all week with nice offshore winds all morning and light onshore in the afternoons with a glass off right before dark. The best bet for size is Dominical, but if you want empty waves, then head north at higher tides to Matapalo or Playalinda where it is smaller, but empty. Surf will be head high today from a new SSW swell but will slowly drop back to chest high for the weekend and in to next week.
Southern Zone
Colin at Una Ola Surf Camp - 2/25 - The waves were tiny with knee high surf conditions most of the day. The wind was on it early, but cleaned up this afternoon, as the rains passed through.
The Caribbean
Solspot - 2/27 - 6-8 feet with a dominant ENE med-period swell. Primary Swell: 12.6ft. 9.5 seconds 72 degrees (ENE). Medium size ENE swell fading through the rest of the week.
