Overview:
Caribbean - Dropping swell from the ENE. Starts at 5 feet at 8 seconds producing waist to chest high surf on Monday, but by Wednesday it's down to knee high and stays that way through the weekend.
Pacific - A new SSW swell shows up Tuesday (3.5 ft at 15 seconds from 208 degrees) and then slowly fades out through the rest of the week. By the weekend the surf is waist to chest from 194 degrees.

Northern Nicoya Peninsula
Louis at Hotel Las Tortugas - 11-9 - The off-shores are here and the surf was small and excellent all last week. Now that the swell has picked up to almost double overhead, and moved into the afternoon window, the surf is pretty dicey unless you tuck into the bay toward Tamarindo. As the swell relaxes and moves into the morning window next week, we should be back to our regular Playa Grande consistency.
Alejandro at Seafari Costa Rica - 11/9 - Small waves in Tamarindo, 1-2ft best within changing tides, sand bars had been moved by the rains and larger tides giving few more spots on the inside breaks for beginners to practice their new skills; winds remain off shore day by day increasing speed, pushing the clouds from the mountains to the coast line. Avellanas has been fun 2ft solid and consistent, glassy conditions makes it perfect for long boarders, line up is not too crowded and there's enough waves for all.

MalpaisurfCam.com - 11/9 - This morning at 7 am waves were head high with constant overhead sets. Light off shore wind and mostly cloudy skies. Pumping waves a low tide, fast and hollow barreling sections for the lucky ones. Just a few in the water, might just get better through the morning with the raising tide.

Steve at Jazzys River House - 11/9 - Small surf, unsettled weather and shifting sandbars add up to poor conditions. 3'-4' walls are prevailing currently, we've lost our peaks for now and daily rainstorms cause choppy and bumpy conditions. As usual there are windows of decent surf at all tides, mid-tides still the best. Playa Hermosa South and Dominicalito are smaller and share the same problems we see with Dominical. Punta Dominical had one good session recently but mostly it's be poor.

Colin at Una Ola Surf Camp - 11/9 - The surf was still working this morning with chest high waves making it around the corner. The surfing conditions were a bit messy with light onshore winds which continued to build all morning, chopping it up by the afternoon. It was a little fast and sectioning, a bunch, but still quite rippable.
