Southern Pacific
Quepos/Manuel Antonio
Luis at Manuel Antonio Surf School - 1/31 - The best time to surf right now is very early in the morning or late afternoon. Conditions in the AM were fairly clean with small, shoulder high waves but with good form. As the rain moved in this AM and tide moved out conditions were choppy. Look to surf first thing in the morning.
Steve at Jazzys River House - 2/11 - Size is the prize this week as the waves have bumped up to well overhead on bigger sets and even lower tide sessions have seen some 5' to 6' hard dumping barrels. Largely closed out but some decent waves rolled through occasionally with clean lines and conditions prevailing due to clearing weather patterns and strong offshore winds. Playa Hermosa South and Dominicalito have followed suit with lots of fun action at all tides and even the Point has produced some nice waves at all tides.
Colin at Una Ola Surf Camp - 2/15 - The surf was a bit smaller and less consistent than yesterday, but still really fun on the higher tide. The waves were mostly waist to chest high around the corner, with some bigger sets up top. The wind was clean and glassy early, but as the tide began dropping out, a combination of light onshore flow, and a bunch of current ripping through the lineup, made the waves weird and warbled.
Caribbean
Cahuita Experience - 2/10 - Over head waves all over the Caribbean, good throughout the morning then slight onshore winds but still totally ripable, glasses off aroumd 3-4. Salsa brava is safe bet this weekend.
