Overview:
Caribbean - Medium sized ENE swell (6.8 feet at 9 seconds) maxes out Tuesday with 1 foot overhead surf and then fades to knee high by Thursday. It stays small through the weekend but next week offers more overhead surf by next Wednesday.
Pacific - Solid 4.3 feet at 15 seconds SSW swell peaking Wednesday and then dropping fast through Friday back down to waist to chest. It doesn't stay small for long as a new SSW pushes it back up to overhead by Sunday and back up to almost double overhead by the 8th (4.6 ft at 15 seconds at 205 degrees).

Louis at Hotel Las Tortugas - 3/27 - The surf tides have been mostly in the afternoon this week and blown out on many days. The early morning sessions begin this week and although the wind and hefty overhead sets are looking good, the rangers are calling people out of the water as a park rule. We haven’t seen much of the virus here but nobody wants to jinx it.

MalpaisurfCam.com - 3/19 - This morning at 7 am waves were waist to chest high with some head high sets. Light off shore wind and sunny clear skies. Fast and kind of closing out, tide was low, nice ones on the sets. Should be better as the tide raises.

Southern Pacific
Steve at Jazzys River House - 3/26 - Long walls, near double overhead tubes are pounding hard up and down the beach which is taped off and closed. Motorcycle police are enforcing the ban on beach entry. Don't go past the yellow tape! Mid-tide conditions this morning were big, clean and judging from a distance, extremely powerful and thick waves. An early winter-like swell under a bright summer sun and clear blue sky. Oh well.
Colin at Una Ola Surf Camp - 3/22 - The surf looked fun this morning, once the tide started to come in, with waves in the waist high to chest high range. The winds were calm and glassy most of the morning, but came onshore this afternoon, then glassing of before sunset. The beach in Pavones is currently closed to surfing due to the Coronavirus coved-19 safety measures implemented by the government of Costa Rica. Please do not come down here until this issue has been resolved! There is no clinic in town, and we the community would not be able to handle an outbreak. Please help keep the Pavones community safe!

Cahuita Experience - 3/29 - Waves been pretty good, 3-5ft but pretty glassy. Im sure it will pick up throughout the beginning of next week.
