Overview
Caribbean - Ok, now it is going to be micro. If the winds and weather stay nice, it will make for some amazing diving. But don't expect anything over knee high all the way through next Wednesday, except maybe a waist high set wave Friday.
Pacific - There are some tropical systems close by, jacking up the swell, but with the waves come the wind and rain, so it may get messy. There is a small South swell that keeps it head high through Friday. Then on Saturday it's a foot smaller down south, but up north the first big sets from the SW arrive, and by Sunday it's 1-2 feet overhead up in Guanacaste (but still waist high in Pavones). This swell drops off fast leaving chest-head surf for Monday and Tuesday, but Wednesday another SW swell pushes it back up to 2-3 feet overhead for the following few days.

AREA REPORTS
Northern Nicoya Peninsula
Louis at Hotel Las Tortugas - 5/22 - The tides are getting right for the morning surfing this week and we have a light off-shore for that window on most days. The large swell and afternoon on-shores are keeping the afternoon session from working. It is raining almost every day. Check out the main break on our Surf Line camera.
Alejandro at Seafari Costa Rica - 5/21 -

Manuel Antonio / Dominical
Greg at Jazzys River House - 5/22 - (filling in for Steve this week) Surf is clean in the mornings with a dropping tide causing some open pits and lots of closeouts. It's been better at higher tides and not too big for Dominical which has been mostly chest to overhead. We are keeping an eye on tropical systems that may cause morning rain showers and an increased chance of early onshore winds.
Southern Zone
Colin at Una Ola Surf Camp - 5/22 - The surf was junk this morning with onshore winds blowing hard at daybreak. The swell is still holding up with waist to chest high waves, but is a complete mess. The wind condition was onshore, and messy. Hopefully, the surf cleans up this afternoon.
The Caribbean
Solspot - 5/22 - 2-3 feet with a dominant ENE short-period swell. Primary Swell: 4.9ft. 7.2 seconds 66 degrees (ENE). Small East-Northeast short-period swell steady.
