Overview
Caribbean - There is a new ENE swell arriving Friday with a 9 second period and sending head high surf by Saturday. Sunday and Monday it will grow to overhead and then drop back to chest high by Wednesday.
Pacific - Currently there is a nice SSW swell pushing in 1-2 foot overhead sets (3.5 feet at 13 seconds) That is going to change drastically by Thursday afternoon as it drops to knee to waist and stays small through Monday. Then a new SW swell arrives (3 feet at 15 seconds) pushing it back 1-2 feet overhead and has a reinforcing swell to keep it big through next weekend.

Louis at Hotel Las Tortugas - 6/8 - The overhead and a half surf is still pretty messy for most of the sessions although some surfers are catching good windows especially now that the high tide is in the early morning. The off-shore patterns are holding and we should have some good morning wave conditions this week as we move toward the off-shore “Little Summer” part of the season next week.
Alejandro at Seafari Costa Rica - 6/7 - Fun long board sessions in Tamarindo, double session days made it even better. 2ft solid and consistent, got to wait for the best sets and was worth it; fairly crowd line up on the sand bars, but no so many people by the river mouth. Winds had been funky but not really messing with the wave's shape. Langosta has been fun and bit cleaner than Tamarindo, 2ft waves, some sets would bring 3ft waves, slow conditions, made it really fun to practice some drills out there.

Steve at Jazzys River House - This morning's high tide session wasn't great but an improvement over the past few days. 4' to 5' foot average with a few overhead waves, clean lines fairly consistent spacing and a brisk offshore were the features but the addition of some modest peaks were the major improvement over the long dumping flat walls we've been seeing. Small crowd under mostly clear blue skies topped things off today. Punta Dominical, Playa Hermosa South and Dominicalito also had better than average conditions today - a little smaller than Dominical but with some of the same features.
Southern Zone
Colin at Una Ola Surf Camp - 6/7 - The surf changed a lot throughout the day. It was small and disorganized this morning, with waist high waves. The tide was high early, adding a bit of a warble to the lineup. The wind was also coming from an unfavorable direction, which didn’t help. It looked like a good day to take the day off from surfing. However, the winds turned more favorable on the dropping tide, cleaning things up. As the tide began to turn, the swell seemed to pick up significantly with head high + sets rolling through. It was a really fun session on the rising tide with rainy, glassy, surf conditions.
The Caribbean
Solspot - 6/10 - 5-6 feet with a dominant ENE med-period swell. Primary Swell: 9.2ft. 8.4 seconds 74 degrees (ENE). East-Northeast med-period swell fading.
