AREA REPORTS
Northern Nicoya Peninsula
Louis at Hotel Las Tortugas - 9/6 - The waves have been small but good with unseasonable off-shores and great conditions, especially in the morning. Check the weather reports.
Alejandro at Seafari Costa Rica - 9/6 - A funny weather in Tamarindo, some overcast days and some sunny mornings, small conditions as south swells are fading away, 1-2ft within the incoming tides, perfect for beginners to work their new skills. Usually for the green season we do not have many tourists, giving us room to play with long boards or SUP along the sand bars.
Nosara
Eli at SurfingNosara.com - 9/7 - Beautiful sunny morning, with good waves and a little offshore wind. The size is chest high to shoulder high and sometimes a good set coming. The low tide is at 3:19 p.m and the High tide is at 9:00 a.m. Stop by Surfing Nosara office and ask for Brayan, Wentyn, or Eli, if you would like to book a private photo session or by any of our pictures. Pura Vida!
South Nicoya Peninsula
Santa Teresa
Eric at Kina Surf Shop - 9/6 - Eric from Kina surf, Friday morning. Waves- very small, clean SW/SSW swell combo. Glassy peaks, still rideable but pretty small. Should improve at the beachies once the morning high tide drops out.
Jaco / Playa Hermosa
Christina at Surf Inn Hermosa - 9/7 - New longer period SW swell filling in 3-5ft – Low tide mid afternoon – Overcast makes for a great day at the beach here in Playa Hermosa.

Southern Zone
Steve at Jazzys River House - 9/7 -
Surf consensus this morning was 'pretty fun'. Small: 3' – 4', mostly peaks, mild offshore and quite clean and orderly. Long time between sets but overall good conditions and not very crowded. That was the higher tide session this morning. Too small for the Point or Dominicalito but Playa Hermosa South was reportedly small and fun as well.
Hotel Roca Verde is taking low season breaks from their usual Friday night live music depending on who is available. The food, however, is always good and the beach-front family atmosphere is always a treat.
Check www.jazzysriverhouse.com for discounts and bargains or stop by and visit Ruby-Kim in her studio gallery and be sure to ask about her popular class which she calls 'Palm Part Art'. Learn the ancient skills of weaving, twining, plaiting, joining and sewing and make yourself an artistic masterpiece and go home with a new life skill. Also see Steve if you're suffering from muscular aches and pains as his East/West massage therapy can be most helpful. Steve also offers surf lessons and board sales and rentals and private instruction in 'Traditional Taoist Internal Exercises'.
Colin at Una Ola Surf Camp - 9/5 - We had another super small day at the point with knee high dribblers making it tough to get motivated, especially with the wonky conditions. If you needed a fix, it was something, but not what anyone wanted to be part of.
The Caribbean
Solspot - 9/7 - 1-2 feet with a dominant ENE short-period swell. Primary Swell: 4ft. 6.5 seconds 66 degrees (ENE). Small East-Northeast short-period swell steady.
