Any extra will help her family with food and necessities until the borders re-open.

Hotel Las Tortugas

Louis at Hotel Las Tortugas - 7/29 - This week’s high tide mornings have brought beautiful head high, light off-shore, surf to the handful of surfers hanging out in Playa Grande.  We expect more of the same through the week with the open beaches.

Tamarindo

Alejandro at Seafari Costa Rica - 7/28 - Tamarindo had mellow waves last days,  although water is glass and morning sessions had been really fun for longboarders and kids playing in the shore breaks; beach itinerary will be extended until 2:30pm from August 1st, also Juan Santamaria international airport will be open for selected flights from some EU countries, it is planned to receive 5 flights per week, to test the industry's response to the established health protocols.

Langosta and Avellanas had fairly small waves 1-2 ft, glass conditions and light breeze from north in the mornings, weather conditions are the usual for a rainy season, random showers in the afternoons and the usual lightning storms every other day.

Local ONG's (non-profits) remain assisting as many as 10.000 people in Guanacaste, your donation if you can will be greatly appreciated. Below are some of the ONG's links you can contact or gofundme.com to donate.

Esterillos

esterillos-surf-reportEsterillos Oeste Surf Report - 7/27 - In Esterillos Oeste the waves today were about 2-3 (waist to chest high) and the next couple days look to be the same. The conditions this morning were kinda stormy but the rain moved on early and a small window of sunny weather and glassy waves and the waves at this time of year are dependent on local weather conditions. With lots of rain in forecast this weekend looks to be smaller but still may find some fun waves more towards the estuary.... Esterillos is just starting to open up more, so please stop by one of the restaurants or at least the super and supports our local businesses.

Southern Pacific

Dominical

Steve at Jazzys River House - 7/29 - Nice high tide morning surf.  A few head high sets, lots of peaks, strong offshore, a little messy inside but overall excellent conditions.  Medium sized crowd the past few mornings with sunny skies but cool rainy season breeze.  Looking forward to extended open beach hours beginning the first of August.

Jazzy's RiverHouse is looking for a long term renter for their fully furnished and equipped two bedroom rental house.  Terms negotiable. Contact Steve at: jazzysriverhouse@hotmail.com or 506-8420-4406 or 2787-0310.

Caribbean

Salsa Brava

caribbean surf costa ricaCedric at Zalty Boyz - 7/29 - Area is Puerto Viejo, at Playa Grande the waves today were really good. The size was five foot and half with really glassy conditions all day long. The best place to surf this weekend would probably be Cocles because it is going to drop a lot and generally its the best place to surf 3 foot waves.
