Caribbean - Solid ENE swell with 1-2' overhead surf through Friday, but dropping fast for the weekend - down to waist high Sunday afternoon and back to knee high for the start of next week. Not much expected through next Friday.

Pacific - Saturday has a decent SSW swell showing (4 ft at 12 seconds from 198 degrees) but besides that and a few leftover overhead sets Sunday, there's not much to talk about. Mostly waist to chest for the week all the way through to next weekend.

Northern Nicoya Peninsula

Playa Grande

Hotel Las Tortugas

Louis at Hotel Las Tortugas - 11/26 - Mid-day, great, surf conditions for our little head high swell.  The big crowd on Saturday and Sunday has died down some now and the 5 hour windows are providing some perfect and not crowded sessions.  By the weekend we should be able to catch some early morning and possibly an afternoon tide in these beautiful “summertime" off-shore conditions.  Bring lots of sunscreen.

Alejandro at Seafari Costa Rica - 11/26 - Fun times and sunny days in Tamarindo and all over Guanacaste, upcoming swell and we can see some good waves passing by, now 2 ft waves within 5 minutes in between sets, morning sessions are the best bet, since the wind still switching every other afternoon, line ups are crowded by visitors and local surf schools. Avellanas has been nice, better option to stay away from beginners crowds, the point breaks had been active with 3ft waves on the best sets, winds kind of funny switching directions or not being there at all. Line up at point breaks is ok, not too many people and many waves for all.

Taco Tuesday is almost here and we are ready at Little Lucha Taqueria - $ 2 Tacos

Surfing NosaraEli at SurfingNosara.com - 11/27 - Today we have a beautiful sunny morning with small and fun waves. The size is chest high to shoulder high and sometimes a good set coming.

Community business of the week - Robins cafe and Ice Cream selected as 'Our Pick' by Lonely Planet, Known for fresh, top quality produce, from-scratch, great tasting food.

South Nicoya Peninsula

Mal Pais Surf CamMalpaisurfCam.com - 11/27 - This morning at 7 am waves were waist to chest high. Off shore wind and sunny clear skies. Summer is just around the corner, super fun session at low tide with lots of open peaks. Constant sets showing and not many people out there.

Jaco / Playa Hermosa

Playa Hermosa

Christina at Surf Inn Hermosa - 11/24 - 2-3ft Fading SSW – Beautiful day here in Playa Hermosa.

Southern Pacific

Steve at Jazzys River House - 11/27 - No teeny, tiny bikinis on the beach today but the waves were teeny, tiny: 2'-3' but clean and well shaped but not quite peaks.  Short walls that were peeling nicely and occasionally offered some fairly long rides.  Higher tides were best but even dead low offered small wave fun.  Hermosa South and Dominicalito were smaller but decent and the Point was flat.

Check www.jazzysriverhouse.com for end-of-low-season discounts and specials or come by and visit artists Ruby-Kim in her home fine art and craft studio/gallery and ask about her ever popular class which she calls 'Palm Part Art'.  Learn the ancient crafts of weaving, plaiting, twining and sewing.  If you are troubled with sore muscles, aches and pains, see Steve as his East/West massage therapy can be most helpful.  Steve also offers surf lessons and board sales and rentals and one-on-one instruction for 'Traditional Taoist Internal Exercises'.

Una Ola Pavones Surf CampColin at Una Ola Surf Camp - 11/25 - The surf was small today with mostly waist high waves, with some larger sets breaking at the top of the point.  The tide was low since early this morning.  The surf never really came together on the higher tide, because the wind had started tearing it apart, just as things started to look promising.

Salsa Brava

Caribbean surf forecastSurf Forecast.com - 11/28 - Excellent conditions today with overhead surf and offshore winds. 8 foot at 9 seconds from the ENE. Waves will decrease rapidly leaving knee high waves by Sunday and nothing more until at least Friday.
